This quotation by Dean Koontz seems the only approriate way to start. Those of you who know me know that I have an unsurpassed love for dogs and I have realized that Koontz expresses why better than I probably ever could.
Rivaling my love for man's best friend is photography. A closeted photographer for many years, I have come to understand that the best way that I can express my feelings about dogs, shelter dogs in particular, and thier role in human lives is to photograph them and tell their stories. Poof, this blog is born.
Several years ago, my fiance and I adopted Jack, a live-wired and sweet terrier mix. It is Jack, and all the dogs like him, that made me realize that if you are willing to open your heart to them, they waiting to change your life.
I, rightfully so, start with photos of Jack. I hope you see the joy found in each dog (and thier owners) that I will encounter on this journey.
I will not be long-winded or preachy, and only want to tell the stories - to have you see that each dog, each little life, is bigger than we can ever imagine.
It is indeed hard to save for a wedding and a digital SLR camera at the same time. Until further notice, all photos are taken with a simple 5 megapixel camera.
